Challenge

Verdana had outgrown its founder-era logo but couldn't afford a brand that only worked in a PDF. Three agencies had pitched identities that looked spectacular on mockup billboards and fell apart in a favicon, an email header, or a checkout button.

Solution

We designed the identity as a system of tokens first — palette, type scale, spacing, iconography — and tested every concept against the brand's real surfaces: product cards, shipping boxes, the unsubscribe page. The final mark is a living-form monogram that scales from 16px to storefront signage, with voice guidelines written from actual customer-support transcripts.

Result

Full rollout — site, packaging, retail materials — shipped in six weeks because engineering consumed the same tokens design produced. Brand-recall in post-launch surveys rose 41%, and the support team adopted the voice guide unprompted.
